"When I perform tea ceremony
and use an expensive conventional utensil, my guests say 'oh how lovely' and that's the end of it. When I use something from Christiena Prince Workshop, the work inspires conversation, and often laughter, as well as expressions of appreciation. I now own over 40 of their works and look forward to their next exhibition to see where their imagination has led them this year."

Ten years after they moved to Japan, they decided that their tiny house in the city could no longer accommodate their dreams. After a long search, they found a 100 year old farmhouse outside the city on a cliff high above a deep misty valley. It had all the room they needed for a kiln, an art and music studio, a vegetable and flower garden and evenings watching the stars.

"One of the greatest pleasures I have experienced is the work of Mary Lou Prince and Patty Christiena Willis. The creativity, colour and uniqueness of their productions are recognisable from a first glance. The joy and the aestheticism conveyed is all part of the magic of their creative world. Certainly a world my life has been enriched by and that I pleasure in each time I use or view these wonderful pieces of work."

"The vegetarian boat, as I call it, sits in the center of my mantle, where I can see it every day. I love both the artistry and the humor."
Caroline Carvill, Terre Haute, IN
